A New LOST Experience?
I still maintain that this is the work of well informed and very talented fans. ABC, take note… if you do not do a LOST Experience sequels, some enterprising fans might just do it for you!
New information has popped up on www.mittelosbioscience.org
This morning I received a mysterious email with instructions to log into the ‘projects’ area. The login is jBurk and the password is rachel. (Not Rachel Blake though… you’ll see…)
There is some interesting info on a special island research facility, and you get to rifle through jBurk’s email and find some pretty juicy text and video messages.
Hat’;s off to those of you who did this! Maybe ABC will have a job for you this summer?

Doc here’s the video.

Here’s the article that talks about Mittelos!
QUOTE: “And though I am taking great pains to keep plot spoilers out of this column, here’s one word to wise Portlanders: If you’re out in the suburbs and you happen upon the campus of a company called Mittelos Bioscience, by all means do not wander inside to take a look. Really.”
The manner in which this information is conveyed reminds me of TLE a lot…

Yeah, that definitely looks fan made. Pretty cool.

Not sure if this could be worthwhile.. but after you watch the video, I got what looked like an ad for ABSOLUT vodka.. but the letters were on different post-it notes in this order:
A | BS | OL | UT | LO | M | O.
Any cryptographers out there that might unscrable this into something possibly?
Comment by MrGameShow — February 7, 2007 @ 4:37 pm
not to spoil your expectations, but absolutlomo is Absolut Vodka’s project with lomography and the separated letters on post its are essentially the Absolut “logo” of the project. See at http://absolut.com/lomo .

Note with interest the mention of “Casimir Studies” on the “Observation Island” referenced on the map above. From Wikipedia: “In physics, the Casimir effect is a physical force exerted between separate objects, which is due to neither charge, gravity, nor the exchange of particles, but instead is due to resonance of all-pervasive energy fields in the intervening space between the objects… A similar analysis can be used to explain Hawking radiation that causes the slow “evaporation” of black holes (although this is generally explained as the escape of one particle from a virtual particle-antiparticle pair, the other particle having been captured by the black hole).”
Wasn’t Karl reading Hawking?

I don’t know if anyone noticed this, but if you go to executive Executive Bios, click Richard Alpert.
Then click view source.
He is listed as ALBERT HOFMANN.
This is probably a clue.

If you look for references there is a website telling you all about Hendrik Brugt Gerhard Casimir

Another thing on the mittelos website, it shows the current project showing the Island as experiment 108, a familiar number.

Albert Hofmann was the Swiss chemist who discovered LSD in 1938 while searching for medications for obstetrics, geriatrics, & migraines. His 25th batch of lysergic acid derivatives, called LSD-25 didn’t seem to have any medical properties, but Hofmann accidentally discovered it’s psychoactive effects in 1944.
One gram of it came to the USA in 1960 - Lot No. H-00047 that some of which went to Harvard University. Harvard psychologists Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert (Ram Dass) performed experiments with the new psychedelic to expand the mind, often along with visual and auditory stimulus. They were kicked out of Harvard for experimenting on undergraduates and eventually formed a 3000 acre retreat outside New York, where they could observe and experiment on each other in isolation.

They should not get a job, the distance between the small isalnd and the big island is 2 miles. Thus, that would make the big island 3 miles by 5 miles. I think not.
