LOST CHANGING TIME SLOT!
Looks like the scheduling folks at ABC are looking to give golden-show LOST a fighting chance when it returns in February moving the show out of the way of Fox’s ratings magnet American Idol and into a new time slot: 10pm EST. But since LOST was recently determined to be the number one show in prime time for family viewing, is this a mistake? Is the move one of desperation? (As critics are sure to suggest.)

Why isn’t there a poll option for “Awful because it’s going to clash with Project Runway when it returns…”?

RSL, it is not as if Bravo does not run project runway 7000 times again in the following week.

I wish they wouldn’t change the time because now it looks like they’re catering to American Idol and their viewers, or that they don’t have enough faith for LOST to be able to compete with American Idol. It just irritates me because I hate American Idol. I say leave the time the same and if people are dumb enough to watch that piece of crap instead of LOST then let them!

It’s not 10 Central Time. It’s 10 Eastern, 9 Central. It’s going to be hard to wait an extra hour. Seriously. And why should we all have to wait that extra hour every Wednesday because millions of Americans watch crap like American Idol. Silly sheep.

This is really dumb. They should have thought of this before they decided to rearrange the schedule. The more I think about this new “work around” while watching Heroes run 11 back to back (Heck, even DH ran 10 straight) the more I think it wasn’t that great of an idea. That while they said this was for the fans, it really was for the “casual fan” that they didn’t want to lose. Same goes for the “more romance and action” …similar pandering to keep those viewers that LOST isn’t geared for anyway from bleeding off (remember it is a CULT type show to begin and thus has fererent fans). This is also another attempt to keep those viewers that watch casually…who would normally watch AI to begin with. It’s time to start pandering to the hardcore, I think, and get back to business.
I can say this…Heroes is going to have a tougher challenge with 24 as it has the same fans; if that show was to do something like this, I’d completely understand as the move would be to cater to the fans. For what it’s worth, I normally get together with a few friends to watch LOST. Now I won’t be able to as right after, I’ll need to go to bed (not like I’ll be able to as LOST is so high adreneline).

I completely agree with downthehatch. I couldn’t have put it better. I wish they would stop catering to casual viewers and try to please the real fans like us!

10:00PM EST???
I struggle just staying up until 10:00PM watching the whole episode! If it starts at 10:00PM I’ll just wait for the DVD set…
The problem is tha those of us who watch Lost do not watch AI. Making us wait two more hours to see our show is bad, just change the day if it is bad!

I kind of glad it is coming on at 10 p.m. Now I can get my kids to bed and know they are asleep and not going through the bedtime put-offs like bathroom, more water, etc. Finally! LOST in PEACE!!!!!!

I total agree with the post just before me about getting the kids to bed and being able to watch it in peace. Bedtime routine starts at 8:30 but can take a while and Wednesdays We’re usually rushing to catch that first scene. Plus we usually download it the next day anyways to re-watch, over & over.

I don’t understand what ABC is thinking they should know that intelligent people who watch lost do not watch crap like American Idol. It will be much harder to stay up till 11 on wednesday we have Jobs you know. This is a ploy by ABC to use our show loyalty to make us watch an other hour of advertizing
