LOST-TERNATIVES

Hard to believe, I know, but there are several shows that are nearly as cool as LOST and a great way to help eliminate the big hiatus jitters. Itching for a fix of rich characterized weirdness and surreality? My assignment for BuddyTV was to find FIVE shows that would satisfy any jonzin LOST fan. I think I found em….

I bought The Prisoner seris a few months back and let me just say it was one badass show. The Simpsons actually spoofed it so you know it must’ve been unique

Great article, great list. The only series you listed that I havent seen/loved is John Doe, and the episodes that I have seen practically left me salivating. Can anyone tell me if the series actually reaches any kind of worthwhile conclusion, or was it killed before it had the chance?

The series did not have an ending, but the producers did reveal what the ending would have been and it can be found easily with google. Still frustrating though. (john doe)

Actually most of the series on Doc’s list did get a premature ending: the prisoner, john doe and the man of nowhere. Fantastic shows indeed, but they got cancelled after a while and had to be concluded in a very frustrating and incomplete way.
I have a bad feeling about lost, and I think this series, as great as it is/was, might get the same treatment in the near future !
