Who Is Patchy?
Thanks to Alarose for pointing this out. Over at "The Fuselage" Gregg Nations (Script Supervisor) answered a question and inadvertently unleashed a spoiler upon us concerning tonight’s episode:
He was asked if Patchy from the previews (the one eyed man glimpsed on a pearl station monitor) was "Radzinsky" and his reply was ’slightly’ illuminating:
Radzinsky is in the previews? Uh, no. We haven’t seen Radzinsky because he’s dead. We could only see him in a flashback. So you’re a little off with that guess.
Well, Gregg, we could see him if he was on video tape, which a lot of people thought was a possibility. HOWEVER, Gregg, you now have told us that this character is indeed someone who is still alive. Which reinforces a bunch of theories, including mine, that Patchy is in the Flame station and is the last Dharma guy not to be absorbed into "the others". Wooooo Hooooo bring it on!

I’d like to think that patchy could be one of the following people: Christian Shepherd or Magnus Hanso. If it is indeed Magnus Hanso, that would imply that the time continuum on the island is either in flux, or has been caused to be in flux by the EMP blast from the Swan. Since the EMP has been blown all to hell, the inhabitants of the island that have existed throughout time may be suddenly thrust into the mix together…hmmmmmmmmm, velly intrestink!

Er… I’m a little confused as to how that hints at Radzinsky being alive. Explicitly stating that he’s dead seems to be pretty much the exact opposite…

Oh, wait, I get it. You were referring to Patchy, not Radzinsky. Got it now. Wish I could delete last post

JamesBadassFord,
I think what DocArzt was making reference to was a novel invention called the video recorder. We could see him on the video tape if it was a tape of the past. Re-think the title “badass” it seems you are quite the opposite.

Ok, sorry to be noob, but who’s Radzinsky?

FluffyBunnyFuuFuu - Radzinsky was Kelvin’s partner in the Swan hatch. Kelvin told Desmond that Radzinsky comitted suicide by shooting himself while in the Swan…at least, this is what we are told.

We’ve also been told he’s dead. Wahoo! :-p
I;m curious about “Patchy”, but not excited. I think whoever he is is holed up in the Flame station and will be killed as soon as Ben wants access to it. Maybe that’s where Sawyer comes in, using him (since patchy probably knows all the “others”) to gain access to the Flame.

I’m still hoping for it to be someone from another time…
Whatever is revealed in the next two episodes is supposed to throw us for a huge loop, and a time problem would certainly do that.

I’m sure you’ve already thought of this; in reference to a time thingy, maybe patchy is from the Black Rock. Of course whoever patchy is I’m sure that the glass eye is his. What are the chances that patchy just happened to notice the camera and cover it with his hand right when they started watching him from the pearl? Has to be taped.

JoefromUtah,
How about not throwing random and unprovoked personal insults on someone else’s site? Plus, I believe I corrected myself, which makes you an idiot. Since my personal insult to you was indeed provoked, both unjustly and in error, I believe I’ve avoided hippocracy. The error I’m referring to is that you clearly did not understand my original comment, nor the follow-up. I understand completely that we could see him on the videotape if it was recorded in the past. My misunderstanding arose from the original article, which was not specific as to who it was referring to in its conclusion. It took me a moment to realize that the vague term “this character” meant the man with the eye-patch, not Radzinski. As soon as I realized this, I followed up my comment with another, explaining my misunderstanding and stating thus that the article was sound. At no point did I ever make it seem like I was confused about the idea of videotaping. I do suggest you re-read my original comment and feel quite embarassed of yourself for acting so childishly cruel on a public forum when you were so clearly wrong.

Just thought I’d point out something quite intreguing. Remember back at the beggining or Season 2? When someone (Can’t quite remeber who) found a glass eye in a chest? This was in some sort of hatch. I’m not sure if that effects anything or reveals and important facts but it’s something I noticed and maybe it has significance somewhere along the line?

okay i think the reason pacthy turned of the camare was because he saw them watching them cause i also believe that the flame is the second part of the pearl watching the preal and seeing if the ppl in there are doing there jobs

Patchy isn’t Perlman. He is Andrew Divoff. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0228678/

Patchy saw the camera pan or he saw the little red light come on. So he unplugged the camera.
