warning: posible spoiler.
I have reason to believe that Locke, Desmund, and Ecko all died in the hatch.
why? The yahoo TV listings discription of episode 3
Was this a poor assumption in the show? or a poor assumption by YahooTV?

how are these spoilers for any additional information? the first 2 comments summarize the two clips that were previously posted. the last comment (about jack) is referencing the previes clip from last week. great scoop! NOT!

Daryl, that’s silly. There have already been plenty of promo pics showing the hatch trio still living (and it’s not a flashback since they are back and interacting with the main group).

Ok the episode is over now. From what it looked like, the others (and Kate and Sawyer) seemed to be flattening the land, possibly for what looked like a runway of sorts. Perhaps they are awaiting an air drop. And I think that the new big question is “If the Others truely can leave the island, and they have been their all their lives, then why havn’t they?”. Any ideas? Maybe they are still trying to finish the work of the Dharma Initiative. Anyways, I am off for the night, hope to see you tomorrow.

Did anyone else catch the fact that Benjamin Linus has been on the island his entire life? He’s at least in his 40s. That predates any Dharma Initiative on the island. Could he be related to Adam & Eve (the mummified corpses that Jack found in the cave) - Jack said they had been dead at least 40-50 years.

i think they cant leave brcause they will die, as in like rose would get cancer again, and locke wouoldnt be able to walk. and jin would be firing blanks again!! maybe thats why they needed all the children??
