LOST (Not entirely) shut out from the Emmys
Yeah, LOST was practically ignored by Emmy voters this year… Yeah, LOST failed to nab any of the categories we were nominated in… Yeah, LOST cast and crew was curiously absent from the event (save for the STUNNING Evangaline Lilly)… but none-the-less, fans who boycotted the 58th annual ceremony missed out on a great piece of parody! The voters may have ignored LOST, but the Emmy writers and host Conan Obrien were quick to honor the show in the opening montage that featured Conan leaping from universe to universe of the hottest shows on television. First up, LOST of course.
In the clip, Conan pops up on shore, makes a blowdryer out of twigs, and meets up with a slimming "Jorge Garcia" who leads him to "the hatch". As Conan get’s ready to descend he asks Jorge if he wants to come with him, Jorge replies "Naw… we weren’t even invited…" Drawing a huge pop from the live audience. I loved this! I know Conan is a HUGE Lost fan, so I loved it that he did this. “NOTHING MAKES SENSE ANYMORE!!”
