Books! Action Figures! & Comic-Con!!!
Brinson here with some news about Lost Book Reviews and we finally have a winner! I extended the online poll an extra week to maximize the votes and it worked out pretty well. Now out of the ten books I gave everyone an option of choosing from there was one book that simply ran off with it and I am talking the kind of running Charlie does when he steals a baby! Fast and not looking back! Anyway the run away winner is…
(drum role please) THE TURN OF THE SCREW by Henry James. What a great choice everyone made I really can’t wait to get my hands on that one. Everyone should keep their eyes open to "The Third Policeman" review, it will be coming very very soon.
Also, everyone keep your eyes and ears open for the Lost panel at Comic-Con this weekend if you go and have any info, photos or anything like that feel free to send them on it. Another thing from Comic-Con, those Lost figures look amazing! Everyone of them look so life like and cool looking. I love them all except for one and I know I am going to catch hell for this but, Shannon just looks…perverted! I feel like that dirty old man from the Family Guy who really wants Chris in "BASEment" It seems like Todd McFarlane made it just for fans to stare at, don’t get me wrong Maggie Grace is a very beautiful woman but she was more than eye candy! She had some pretty strong scenes on the show. Granted for the first half of the season we just thought she was just a good looking snob, like a Paris Hilton so to speak.
After Boone died, Shannon took on a very dramatic transformation in her character and she had some pretty intense emotional scenes! A much better Shannon figure would have been when she was shot by Ana Lucia, or when she wanted to kill John Locke and she shot him in the side of the head! Those are memorable moments in the show and I hope they do more like that and they don’t do one of Sun in a bikini (despite the hotness) it just seems like it brings the show down, you know? McFarlane toys needs to step it up make the ones that we will look at and say "Man, that is Badass!" or "That was a great Scene" I just want these figures to be as good as the show and not half-assed. I have hope for this figures and I look forward to seeing more great ones in the future (I am looking at you Todd!) and I can’t wait to see some footage from the Lost Video Game and find out what it is about.
