Disney has finally reached an agreement to release the LOST VIDEO DIARIES.  This project is actually a couple of months old… so, coming to a phone near you…

Disney-ABC Television Group’s Touchstone Television has reached agreements with the Writers Guild of America, west, the Screen Actors Guild and the Directors Guild of America related to Guild-represented production of "Lost Video Diaries," original mini-episodes inspired by the Emmy Award-winning series "Lost," designed for initial release on mobile platforms.

"The ‘Lost’ fans have an insatiable appetite for the characters and mythology of this series," said Mark Pedowitz, president, Touchstone Television. "Partnering with the Guilds in these groundbreaking deals, we will continue to provide the best original content to our audience whether they are watching ‘Lost’ in their living rooms or catching a mobisode on their cell phone. We look forward to finding additional ways in which we can work together to experiment on a Guild-represented basis in this new digital media arena."

Based on an original concept by the producers of "Lost," "Lost Video Diaries" will chronicle compelling tales from the island, inspired by events taking place on the broadcast series.

This announcement is part of the Disney-ABC Television Group’s overall Digital Media multiplatform business initiative and demonstrates the Group’s ongoing commitment to launching new digital products and working with strategic partners in the digital media space to make its high-quality, informative and entertaining content available to consumers whenever and wherever they choose.

"Lost," which counts among its six Emmy Awards one for Outstanding Drama Series, was co-created by J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof, who also serve as executive producers, along with Bryan Burk, Jack Bender and Carlton Cuse. The series, which is filmed entirely on location in Hawaii, is produced by Touchstone Television and is broadcast on the ABC Television Network Wednesday nights at 9:00 p.m., ET/PT.

Touchstone Television has established itself as one of Hollywood’s leading production companies, supplying critically acclaimed, quality entertainment to the broadcast and cable television industry. The studio’s 18 new and returning scripted series on broadcast television in the 2005-06 season include the critically and consumer praised phenomena "Lost," "Desperate Housewives" and "Grey’s Anatomy."
