LOST — Evie’s Real Life Air Drama
SHE’S a right tough nut on the island, and it seems Lost star Evangeline Lilly has good reason. It was not her first plane drama.
The star who plays con-on-the-run and love interest Kate Austin trained as a flight attendant in real life – and says that was far more frightening than her stunts on the show.
The Canadian-born actress told contactmusic.com: "I was a flight attendant. We used to go into airplane simulators when I was training, and they would simulate what a drop out of the sky would feel like.
"I’d have my hands thrown in the air and be whooping while people behind me were vomiting. It’s fun - take it for the ride."
Evangeline visited Sydney last summer with her lover and Lost co-star Dominic Monaghan. At the time they were keeping quiet about their affair.
Monaghan told The Daily Telegraph: "I’m a big fan of girls but if you are up at five in the morning and you don’t get home ’til nine at night, there’s not many girls that keep those hours."
Except, of course, co-stars like Evangeline – and the pair set tongues wagging when they were spotted cosying up at last year’s Golden Globes.
”Any opportunity to put my arm around a beautiful woman is not going to be refused," Monaghan quipped at the time.
Meanwhile, Emilie de Ravin, the Melbourne-born actress who plays cute-faced young mum Claire, has told The Sunday Telegraph’s Sunday Magazine that travellers should think twice before they moan about their commute.
Getting to work for her involves a 4000km flight from her home from home in LA to the set of Lost in the lush forests of Oahu in Hawaii.
