Aronofsky Passes On ‘LOST’ Gig

Lost News — March 3, 2006 at 3:47 pm by docarzt

Darren Aronofsky, director of the acclaimed ‘Pi’ and ‘Requiem for a dream’, has declined to direct an episode of ‘ LOST’ for season two. The Director, who is currently polishing his long anticipated sci-fi flick ‘The Fountain’, and wife Rachel Weisz are expecting a child. Aronofsky is also knee deep in developing an adaptation of the cult novel ‘Flicker’, which is big news for fans of the often imitated book (The Ring, Fear Dot Com, etc. etc.)

This is a tragedy for ‘ LOST’ fans. Aronofsky’s indie sensibilities would have ruled on the tight, Hollywood isolted ‘ LOST’ set.

The good news is, he is still interested. Keep your fingers crossed for Season Three.
