Lost “One of them” — The man in the net
Emmy Award winner Michael Emerson, who portrayed Oscar Wilde in Off-Broadway"s Gross Indecency, has landed a recurring role on the hit ABC-TV series "LOST."
Emerson, according to a spokesperson for the actor, will begin his "LOST" stint on the Feb. 15 broadcast. Emerson is scheduled to appear in at least six additional episodes. "LOST" airs Wednesdays at 9 PM ET on ABC-TV; check local listings.
Michael Emerson won a 2001 Emmy Award for Best Guest Actor for his work as serial killer William Hinks on "The Practice". Fans of the horror film "Saw" will recognize Emerson as the ZigZag red herring "Zep Hindle".
In "LOST", Emerson will play a mysterious man captured by Danielle and held captive in the hatch. If Emerson is indeed playing one of "The Others", his six episode sting could be quite revealing.
In a possibly related tidbit, in the recent "LOST" podcast (get it here) Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse discussed how Emerson"s first episode "One Of Them" (Airing 2/14/06) sets up the narrative for the following five episodes; so it looks like Mr. Emerson"s turn will indeed be pivotal to remainder of "LOST" season two.
