Oct. 21, 2005: Actor Josh Holloway (Sawyer) and his wife were bound and robbed in their Hawaii Kai home by a masked gunman. The robber made off with cash, credit cards and Holloway’s Mercedes-Benz (later retrieved).
Oct. 21, 2005: Hours after the Holloway home invasion, "Lost" actor Harold Perrineau (Michael) was followed for 20 minutes by two men in a car as he drove toward fellow actor Daniel Dae Kim’s house. Perrineau tried to evade the stalkers, but it wasn’t until he pulled his car over and called Kim (who plays Jin) on his mobile phone that they turned and sped away.
Dec. 1, 2005: New cast members Michelle Rodriguez (one of several cast members to have already run afoul of the law for speeding) and Cynthia Watros were arrested for drunken driving. Honolulu police pulled the two over after their vehicles were spotted weaving along Pali Highway. Both pleaded guilty, and both women’s characters — Rodriguez’s Ana Lucia and Watros’ Libby — were gone from the show by season’s end.
Sept. 2, 2006: Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Mr. Eko) was arrested for disobeying a police officer and driving without a license. The charges were dropped when Akinnuoye-Agbaje provided proof that he possessed a license. He didn’t get off as easily on the show — he was killed by a smoke-monster in the first half of this season.
Dec. 20, 2006: Lilly’s rented home burns to the ground, but no one is hurt.
The contest is on! We have several nice items from the folks at Warner Brothers; posters, hats, footballs, a hoodie (or two) to give away in celebration of Matthew Fox’s Big Screen "We Are Marshall" premiere!

I had the pleasure of attending a screening of We Are Marshall last night. Gut reaction: FANTASTIC film, and a real eye opener both for Matthew Fox fans and critics,
Matthew Fox was amazing in this film. After being exposed pretty much entirely to Matt Fox through the character of Jack, I was really unprepared for his performance as "Red" in Marshall. Foxy has CHOPS! The rumors of a supporting actor nom aren’t so out of line. Fox plays "Red" on a more level playing field emotionally than Dr. Jack, a quieter, more socially intelligent man than the island bound surgeon he is best known for; yet, the quiet times are impregnated with nuance. Don’t get me wrong, the other Matt was good too, but our Matt brought the goods! See the movie, discuss the movie, and win prizes! The deadline is Tuesday.

Do you look good in green?
After experiencing a whirlwind career as a frequent guest star of LOST, the number 23 is finally poised for big screen success. In its eponymous feature debut "The Number 23", 23 (aka Twenty-Three) plays a number that seems ingrained in every facet of Co-Star Jim Carrey’s life. The interplay between Carrey and 23 is just chilling; for instance in one scene Carrey begins to comprehend that 23 is present in all factors of his life, even if it requires longhand division to come to the conclusion. Math being a numbers strong point, 23 plays these scenes with a cold indifference that just sends a chill down your spine.
23 is not the first of the LOST numbers to hit the big time, 4 is currently wrapping production on the sequel to its smash hit "The Fantastic 4". 8 was immortalized by surrealist film maker Federico Fellini in 1963’s "8 and a half", but stayed relatively under the radar until LOST brought the octal-onesome much overdue attention. Currently, 8 is wrapping post production on a French independent film titled, appropriately, "8".
15,16, are busy trying to find work, but 42 says he’s just happy to have a steady gig on LOST. "Once you get past 40, it can be hard to move ahead in Hollywood. We wish it wasn’t true, but it is."
Thanks to Wendy for email us this info from Hawaii’s Craig’s List.

In case you’re wondering where the new LOST Moment is, it appears they were swept up in the tailwind of Day-Break’s cancellation and have, as well, been removed from the Wednesday night line-up.
The good news is, they will be continuing, thanks to sponsor American Express, online. The next LOST Moment is scheduled for Friday 8am est at this url. American Express was making them available online to card-holders, but it now appears the plastic giant is making them free for all. (Everybody kiss your American Express card and use it copiously for last minute Christmas Shopping.)
From the steady rise in quality, I’m sure the next Lost Moment is going to knock our socks off.
And the winner of the "Two for the Road" SIGNED screenplay is:

THE ENDLESS CYCLE BY BBBRONKS

In the end, we will learn that what the Oceanic crash survivors have been experiencing is just the latest in a long cycle of groups being lured to, and subsequently being stranded on, the island. This dates all the way back to the time of the statue having been originally sculpted. Over the rest of the time of the current series, each of the Oceanic crash survivors will take up a role vacated by an "Other" or other person. For example, Jack and Sawyer may end up leading separate factions, and Jack could eventually become the leader of the "good guy" faction (currently Ben) and Sawyer could become the person who trains capturees in one of the stations (like Radzinsky.) Over time, we will learn what is special about the island, why new "victims" from the outside world are needed, and how people on the island are able to influence goings-on off the island.
In the last scene of the show, the viewers will witness the crash of a new vessel–perhaps another plane, or a space vehicle, or a cruise liner, onto the island, where the new set of "Others" made up of Oceanic crash victims caused the crash and begin manipulating the victims.
The rumor mill says ABC is desperate to get LOST back early. This on the heels of the cancellation of LOST fill-in "Day Break" in favor of re-runs of George Lopez and According to Jim. The shows which will permanently (for how long?) occupy LOST’s 9:00pm slow, ‘In Case of Emergency’ and ‘Knights of Prosperity’ are suffering from premature buzz-kill having been pretty much universally slaughtered on their screener outings.
ABC has been taking a beatings on Wednesdays, this is true, and pulling LOST back early would certainly generate the type of buzz that increased viewer-ship is made of. The question is, will they do it? As usually, my emails to ABC media relations have gone unanswered (they don’t talk to us ‘blogs’), so for now my guess is as good as yours. But an interesting rumor, none the less.
I’m sure when ‘Rutkowskilives’ commented on our Bai Ling piece the last thing he expected was his words would wind up in ‘Entertainment Weekly’, but that is exactly what happened! Rutkowskilives’ comments were noteworthy enough for LOST scholar Jeff "Doc" Jensen to include them in his latest article, which appears in the Dec. 22 Issue of Entertainment Weekly. Rush and buy copies for your friends and family Rutkowskilives, personal appearances in Entertainment Weekly make great Christmas Presents! (I shudder to think of the impact on comment participation… poor database, there… there… it’ll be okay…)
Entertainment Weekly has published a series of pics from the upcoming Quentin Tarantino / Robert Rodriguez double-movie "Grindhouse". Grindhouse is a double-bill of homages to the exploitation films of the 70’s. Naveen Andrews (Sayid from LOST) has a significant roll in Rodriguez’s segment "Planet Terror" as a bad-ass zombie killer. There is only one pic featuring Naveen, and here it is:
Naveen is the cute blonde on the right, back row.
LOST has the probably unwanted distinction of being the number one show downloaded via Torrent in Australia. An article at TorrentFreak has some more specific info. Could this be a shadow of what will happen when LOST changes time slots in February? Tivo and Ituner’s aside, nicely edited versions of LOST episodes complete with 5.1 soundtracks usually pop up within hours of airtime. If this highly publicized trend makes it to this side of the pound, and who is to say it hasn’t already, how does that affect the commercialization of the viewers that are destined to drop from the time-slot change?
