The Tail Section

LOST Season 2 Episode 8 Collision starts with Ana Lucia visiting her shrink. We find out that she has been out of work for four months, her boyfriend has left her, but things are basically getting a lot better following the "incident". The psychiatrist clears her back to work. Her job: Police officer.

Back to real-time island, Sayid is ready to kill somebody. He pulls his gun and starts for Ana. Eko tackles him and actually pretty much gets his butt whooped by Sayid until Ana seizes the opportunity to bash Sayid unconcious with a rock. Then she goes crazy, ordering them to dismantlye Sawyer’s stretcher so she can tie up Sayid.

Realizing Sawyer’s condition is grave, Eko carries him back to the fusies on his shoulders. Ana, desperate to find a way out, tells Michael to go to camp and get ammo and clothes so she can exile herself.

Eko meets up with Jack who hustles Sawyer to the hatch for treatment. There we have the meeting between the islands two spiritual leaders, Eko and Locke. Eko says nothing about the situation with Sayid, but once Michael arrives at the hatch the cat is out of the bag. Jack wants to form a possee and take Ana out, but Eko convinces him to come alone, with no weapons.

Ana tells Sayid her story. She was shot for trusting the wrong guy, and as a result LOST her child. What she does not tell Sayid is that she later hunted him down and killed him. She releases Sayid and gives him his gun back, and tells him it is okay to kill her. But Sayid, understanding the pain that she suffers, (with no idea that she took cold blooded revenge), decides to let her go.

Jack and Eko meet up with them on their way back to the fusies camp and there is a frozen moment between Jack and Ana Lucia.
